| MAY 21st- JUNE 21st | Color = Light Orange |Tone D Major |
GEMINI'S ROMAN NUMERAL SYMBOL
The Roman Numeral II associated with Gemini stands for twins or “companion” and it also represents the “pillars of knowledge” as all Gemini can see every situation from at least two sides. Since Gemini is ruled over by Mercury, they are known for having intelligence, ingenuity and artistic talent.
GEMINI'S RULING PLANET
Mercury’s Symbol means “mind over matter.” The horns or moon crescent represents the winged helmet and intuitive strengths of Mercury/Hermes/Thoth over the circle of divine spirit and the cross of matter.

Gemini in mythology are the twins: Castor and Pollux. Castor and Pollux were born out of an egg because Zeus disguised as a swan, mated with Leda. The Twins were said to have been part of Jason and the Argonauts quest to find the golden fleece. Male/Day/Positive
The day and night model of the zodiac is based on the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. Different Zodiac Signs are visible at night or day depending on where you live on earth.
Modality Mutable
The three modes of the elements:
-
Cardinal (Initiation)
-
Fixed (Stability)
-
Mutable (Dynamic)
Gemini mutable modality literally completes the "circuit" of energy between the Cardinal and Fixed signs while it facilitates the change from spring to summer in the northern hemisphere and from fall to winter in the southern hemisphere.
Element Air
Air is dynamic and intellectual. This element is associated with the OCTAHEDRON among the Platonic Solids! This is associated with the western quadrant of the tropical astrology compass, representing intellect and communication in various forms.
Gemini Decan I 0º-10º
May 20 to 31
DGemini Decan 1 is ruled by Jupiter and Mercury (Gemini triplicity). The sun crusades through the constellations of Taurus the Bull, Perseus the Hero, the Sculptors Chisel and the River from May 21 to 31. This section of the sky houses the famous star clusters the Hyades, the Pleiades, and the royal star Aldebaran in the Bull’s eye. These clusters have stormy reputations, Alcyone is scandalous in love and the Hyades bring tears and violence. Perseus is not the most sedate fellow either, brandishing his sword and grasping poor Medusa’s decapitated head. The “Good V Evil’ duality of Gemini is strong here not just because it is the Gemini decan, but mainly because of Aldebaran’s dragon-slaying tendency. As St Micheal, god’s first soldier, he is, therefore, the chief slayer of all things Satanic. With Jupiter’s influence here then, we get activists and militants who are on a spiritual or religious mission to add to the already zealous theme. So Gemini Decan 1 see themselves as spiritual warriors and reformers, they are on this earth to stamp out evil!…
The tarot card associated with Gemini Decan 1 is the eight of swords. Unfortunately, the air signs are stuck with the swords suit as representing them so the imagery is not going to be so positive. We must remember that these cards must be read slightly differently when associated with the decans as they will show the lessons learned in other lifetimes and karma that may have already been paid back. In this case, you can see already that this intense decan has Alcyone, the Hyades and Aldebaran no less. This is an old soul who has learned many, many harsh lessons. With this decan, it is vitally important to break out of the negative cycle of doom and gloom and realise that the worst is OVER! “With the Eight of Swords, there is often a failure to take responsibility for your situation. You will not act or take control. Instead, you wait for others to come to your rescue….in the majority of cases suggests that the problem you are in is more than likely of your own making. Yes, we do get into binds or get caught in traps created by other people, but then allow ourselves or give permission to be taken, prisoner.” ~ Teach Me Tarot.

Gemini Decan II 10º-20º
June 1 to 10
Gemini Decan 2 is ruled by Mars and Venus (Libra Triplicity). The Sun takes giant leaps through the constellations of the Hunter, the Hare, the Charioteer and the River from June 1 – 11. This is the zone of the speed freaks and multi-taskers. The hare is known for its swiftness while the charioteer thunders across the sky holding a whole family of goats! These people don’t do anything by halves. All too often, however, Gemini decan 2 takes on far too much and then suffers burn out. Having an accident or becoming ill is the only way they may get any rest. These subjects can also become totally driven by their desires. Orion is the hunter, so stalking is their speciality, surprising in a sign supposedly carefree and light-hearted. This decan is ruled by both Mars and Venus, the sexual planets, so these twins can get extremely irritable when they can’t channel their libido.
The tarot card associated with this decan is the nine of swords as stated in the previous decan, unfortunately, the air signs are stuck with the swords suit as representing them so the imagery is not going to be so positive. We must remember that these cards must be read slightly differently when associated with the decans as they will show the lessons learned in other lifetimes and karma that may have already been paid back. This is the most karmic of all the decans, where the past has accrued many paybacks and unfinished business with relationships. Its divinatory meaning: “Your past may have caught up with you or something you thought dealt with, done and dusted, has reared its ugly head and resurfaced once more bringing all its unpleasantness with it. This may be on a physical level but more than likely a return of some inner-demons or past nightmare, which has thrown your mental equilibrium out of balance. Something from your past may have come back to haunt you.” ~ Teach Me Tarot.

Gemini Decan III 20º-30º
June 11 to 20
Gemini decan 3 is ruled by the Sun and Saturn (Aquarius Triplicity) which happen to be the two most authoritarian gods of the solar system. The high and mighty Sun is a fitting co-ruler for this section of the ecliptic. The solar king shines through the Hunter, Dove, Bull’s Horns and the Charioteer from June 12 to 20. Gemini decan 3 is absolutely jam-packed with bright and fortunate stars. It contains one arm of the Milky Way and is home to the Great Orion Nebula. This super-rich realm is known as the star nursery.
This is a multi-talented, multi-tasking, multi-faceted super-parent who wants it all and does it all. Like tropical Gemini, this decan has two sides to it and each one is just as forceful and strong as the other. On the one hand, we have the peaceful dove and the nursing goat. This hand is the life-giver, a birthplace of stars, the ever-nourishing Milky Way that flows from the breast of Nut the sky goddess. On the other hand, we have the hunter, the destroyer of life, the mighty warrior, the potent phallus. This decan can signify the battle of the sexes or more positively, the sacred marriage between the god and the goddess, Heros Gamos….
The tarot card associated with this decan is the ten of swords. As I stated in the previous decan, unfortunately, the air signs are stuck with the swords suit as representing them so the imagery is not going to be so positive. We must remember that these cards must be read slightly differently when associated with the decans as they will show the lessons learned in other lifetimes and karma that may have already been paid back. With the 10 we have come to the end of a cycle, so it is likely that these souls are very old indeed. This card is the end of the line and the darkest hour before dawn, which goes very well with its Saturn rulership. Karmically this life is is about releasing. “Peace is on the way and an end to suffering. However, you cannot just lie there and expect it all to be done for you and to you. Recovery depends on your letting go of and saying goodbye to the way you have been living and coping with things. Change is needed on every level for you, as what you have been doing up until now has not been working. “ ~ Teachmetarot.

This is the third house of the Zodiac. This is known as the house of Gemini and the one of the houses of Mercury. This house represents siblings, the mind, communications, flexibility and much more.
The third house represents your connection to your immediate environment, siblings, roommates, neighbors and relatives other than your parents. This is the house of regular or daily communications and regularly scheduled movements, and short trips like going to school, work or to the grocery store. Thoughts, ideas, exchanges of knowledge and information, books, PDFs, email, neighborhoods all fall under the third house.
This house belongs to Gemini and is ruled by Mercury. This house is a day sign of the masculine polarity. Its mode makes it a mutable house and its element is AIR!
This is an image of the Gemini twins Castor and Pollux. Castor was considered the mortal twin and Pollux is considered the child of Jupiter/Zeus. These twins were also crew members of the Argos in the epic tale of Jason and the Argonauts. The Female Gemini twins are also known as Helen of Troy and Clytemnestra.
The sign of Gemini is ruled by the planet Mercury. Physically, Gemini is related to the hands and the lungs. It is said to have a masculine nature, and is therefore more outwardly oriented in its expression of energy. Gemini is a Mutable is an Air sign. This means that Gemini is connected with communication, mental acuity, social principles and travel. Gemini’s mutable nature gives them flexibility and adaptability. Like the other Mutable signs: Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces, Gemini is an emissary of change in the cycle of qualities between Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable!
Planets placed in this sign in a natal chart will often reflect personal intelligence, tremendous curiosity and a need to exchange ideas with other people in a social environment. People with a lot of Gemini in their chart are known to be “chatty.”
Negative manifestations of Gemini influences are a flightiness and unreliability, and/or a tendency to get involved with too many things at any one time. There is a love of ideas, but no inner need to put them ALL of into practice. Gemini is the master of holding two conflicting ideas and seeing the value in them both. So consider not looking at their ability to straddle a fence as being duplicitous, but rather as purveyors of wider consciousness.
Gemini influence confers great mental insight, dynamic creativity, and a philosophical “stereoscopic vision” to planets placed in this sign in natal chart astrology. Planets here manifest considerable versatility and mental skills in regard to all forms of communication.
The Gemini twins are: Castor and Pollux the two children that hatched out of eggs after Zeus/Jupiter seduced Leda in the form of a swan. The mortal twin is Castor (Kastor) and the demigod is Pollux (Polydeuces). After Castor was fatally wounded, Pollux begged Jupiter/Zeus to save his brother even if it meant that Pollux would be giving up his own immortality to save Castor. The two were placed among the stars where they became patron to sailors. In the Gemini constellation, their is a supergiant star at the head of each of the twins.
In another account, Castor and Pollux were born with another pair of twins named Helen and Clytemnestra. Like Castor, Clytemnestra was the mortal child and Helen was considered the child of Jupiter/Zeus. This beautiful female twin is said to be “Helen of Sparta” who became, “Helen of Troy,” after the Trojan War. This is the same Helen that we call "Helen of Sparta" who became "Helen of Troy" after PARIS was promised her hand by Aphrodite/Venus. This is one of the reasons for the Trojan War. (Look up the "Judgment of Paris and the story of the goddess of discord, Eris---you are guaranteed to like them apples.)
Castor and Pollux were part of the Argonauts on a ship called the "Argos" in the hero story "Jason and the Argonauts."
Mercury "rules" Gemini and shares the planet and day of the week attributed to ☿Mercury, Wednesday with its Mutable buddy VIRGO.
The reason Gemini and Virgo are supposed to be smart is because ☿Mercury/Hermes/Thoth/Tehuti is the "god of wisdom," communication, language and dreams
In the Tarot, Gemini is referred to as "The Lovers."
Gemini is the first manifestation of "As Above, So Below!"
Mercury is related to Archangel Raphael in the Abrahamic religion/philosophy.
