Capricorns symbol is the head of a goat and the body of a fish. This is symbolic of them being a “Goat-fish” or “Sea-goat.” Some accounts in astrology suggest that Capricorn is the evolved iteration of Aries. This is why in one of the two Capricorn symbols, one can see Aries horns attached to what looks like a Taurus symbol as a 90 degree angle.

Amalthea was a satyr, so Zeus’s nanny was half goat. This gave Zeus the opportunity to grow up, overthrow the Titans and free his brothers and sisters from Cronus’ stomach.
